29 May 09NBC announced today the complete cast and exciting hosts for its new groundbreaking live summer television event "I'm a Celebrity…Get Me Out of Here!" that kicks off in America on Monday, June 1 with a two-hour special from 8:00-10:00 p.m. ET on NBC. Heading into the jungle to compete in the wild for their favorite charities are: actor Stephen Baldwin, wife of former Illinois Governor Patti Blagojevich, supermodel and television star Janice Dickinson, multi-talented actor Lou Diamond Phillips, 2007 "American Idol" contestant Sanjaya Malakar, Spencer and Heidi Pratt , NBA great and television personality John Salley, WWE wrestler and beauty queen Torrie Wilson and comedy duo and real life best friends Frances Callier and Angela V. Shelton, also known as Frangela. Myleene Klass and Damien Fahey will bring their style, wit and experience to the show, where together they will serve as co-hosts, telecasting live from the wilds of Costa Rica. Fahey is known to audiences as the main host of MTV's “TRL” where he is requested by many of today's hottest celebrities and musicians to conduct interviews. A talented and dedicated broadcast enthusiast, he has hosted nationally broadcasted radio and television shows since he was 15 years of age. Recruited by MTV for their Beach House segments, he was quickly promoted to the “TRL” cast in 2002, where he holds the distinction of being the only veejay to ever host and write for the show. Among his many other talents, Fahey is a musician and plays drums for his band, the Classic Futures. Myleene Klass is one of the biggest stars in the United Kingdom and was a participant herself in the 2006 version of "I'm a Celebrity...Get Me Out Of Here!" that propelled her to a successful career where she was "Queen of the Jungle" and the top searched-for celebrity in the world by the United Kingdom Internet users. The multi-talented Klass is a television host, entertainer and musician. In 2001, she was chosen from thousands of singing hopefuls to become one of five members of the reality pop band Hear'Say, winners of the singing competition show "Popstars," that went on to sell two million CDs. A talented pianist, she signed a solo recording deal and reached #1 in the classical charts. Klass hosts "Weekend Breakfast" on Classic FM and writes monthly features in Classic FM Magazine, titled "Myleene's Hot Property and Prima Baby." Additionally, she also hosts her own monthly movie review show on CNN International, where she interviews some of today's hottest stars. In 2008, she released her first book, "My Bump and Me," which went straight to the Top-10 bestseller charts. Based on the hit UK series, “I'm a Celebrity…Get Me Out Of Here!” is the ultimate “Swiss Family Robinson” as the 11 celebrities will be dropped into the heart of the Costa Rican jungle to face fun and comedic challenges designed to test their survival skills. America is the puppet master, controlling their favorite celebrities by putting them into challenges and tasks to win food, supplies and luxury items. In each episode, friendships will be tested, hilarity will ensue and viewers will decide which celebrities stay or go. The last remaining star will be crowned King or Queen of the Jungle, winning a substantial cash prize for their favorite charity. “I'm A Celebrity…Get Me Out of Here!” will air over four weeks in June from 8-9 p.m. ET. For three weeks the show will air Mondays through Thursdays. During the fourth week of June, the series will be telecast Monday through Wednesday, with the finale being telecast on Wednesday, June 24. Additionally, each Sunday, beginning June 7, MTV will air a marathon of the week's episodes including never before seen footage and commentary from cast members in real time, providing an enhanced viewing experience for die-hard fans.
